E250 - Solaris 8 - Missing Processor from O/S

I have an E250 running Solaris 8 fully patched.
OBP info: OBP 3.22.0 2000/12/20 16:20 (latest)

The system has 2x400 mhz cpus, but only 1 of them shows up after the
system has booted.
.asr shows everything enabled.
.post shows everything as "OK".
psrinfo -v only shows CPU0. The banner shows:
root nexus = Sun (TM) Enterprise 250 (2 X UltraSPARC-II 400MHz)

If I disable CPU0 using asr, I see in my messages file:
WARNING: status 'fail-Disabled by Command' for
'/SUNW,UltraSPARC-II@0,0'
root nexus = Sun (TM) Enterprise 250 (UltraSPARC-II 400MHz)
cpu1: SUNW,UltraSPARC-II (upaid 1 impl 0x11 ver 0xa0 clock 400 MHz)

The system will boot up and function properly (although slowly)
running only on CPU1 so I know that neither the CPU or slot is bad
(else the system would not have ran properly for 3 days on CPU1 before
I rebooted it and reset back to CPU0).

The problem is that if I do not manually disable CPU0 via asr, CPU1
does not show up in the system/OS at all.

mpstat, psrinfo, and prtdiag, and "adb -k" only show CPU0 as live in
the system when I have both cpu's enabled.

Does anyone have any additional ideas as to what might be occuring with this
processor?
