Hi Managers!
I asked help few months ago about bug 5077968 (kernel panic during
creation of a directory with quotas on). I appreciate the help was given
by the community...
This bug affected us badly as we run an NFS home share (with quotas on)
on a sparc Solaris 9 box. Fortunately I was warned by an other sysadmin
(who suffered the impact of patch 113073-11) not to apply this
particular patch.
If I understand correctly patch 113073-14 fixes the problem (?).
My question is how to avoid such serios accidents on a production
system? How should I apply recommended patches not to risk the usability
of my system? What is your patch routine?
