Chad Mynhier was quick to point out, that the 'default_route' parameter
was missing and that this might as well be the source of the problem. I
therefore changed the line to read like this:
network_interface=PRIMARY {netmask=255.255.255.0
default_route=129.143.2.253
protocol_ipv6=no}
Indeed, now the jumpstart proceeds without the need for human intervention.
