Hello,
For the jumpstart installation of Solaris 10 I prepared a sysidcfg file
which contains (among other lines) the following:
network_interface=PRIMARY {netmask=255.255.255.0 protocol_ipv6=no}
With Solaris 8 the jumpstart would have used RARP to figure out its IP
adress and setup the interface. With Solaris 10 the sysifcfg file is
found and everything gets used except the network_interface line. From
the documentation I get the strong suspicion that only DHCP and completely
static definitions are possible in Solaris 10. I am not quite shure though.
Therefore my question: Is this correct? Otherwise: A working example would
be greatly appreciated. ;)
