Just upgraded from Solaris 9 to Solaris 10 (upgrade install). Install
did not report any errors, and system appears to be running ok.
However, CDE users cannot log into their desktops. (Java desktop works
ok.) Pop-up error message is that "desktop messaging" can't be started, and
displays a list of files to check for proper reference to system's
hostname, including /etc/src.sh and /usr/adm/inetd.sec.
Once you click ok in the pop-up, the user is returned to the login screen;
session ends.
Neither of these files exists on the system, and I can't find any reference to
them on Sunsolve, or in the Solaris 10 and CDE docs on docs.sun.com.
There's also a note in the error message to check for magic cookie errors in
/var/adm/messages and in $HOME/.dt/errorlog. The latter file reports the
same inability to start messaging, but has nothing about cookies.
Here's the whole thing:

Finally, and I'm not sure whether this is related, the CDE calendar
manager reports the inability to open the user's calendar file.
/var/adm/messages reports:
Feb 5 12:54:40 osprey libcsa: [ID 702911 user.error] Can't access

out
Thanks for any help you can provide.
