Hello,
We have a E5500 working on Solaris 2.8 and Veritas Volume Manager with
L7 Autoloader. We are taking backup everyday with ufsdump. Our backup
script seperates mirrors, quisesces Sybase and takes backup on the
seperated side. Our backup takes about 4 hours normally. For a couple of
weeks, that backup takes more than 15 hours and we cannot find why. In
backup logs we see that everything is fine, no errors, but backup of
volumes is just slow. Amount of data we are backing up is about the same
size. Our script counts data backed up per sec; it is almost 8-10 times
slower. Backup script did not change.
During that period, server has been rebooted for battery change on
storage. But that reboot did not make a change.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
