filesystem on 6120 san is slow

Hi,

I have a serious performance problem with a filesystem on a 6120 single
brick array. The array has 1 big RAID 5 volume (850GB)sliced into 3 Luns
and three servers connect to one lun each via a switch. Two of the
servers are v240's configured identical with both hardware and OS and
storage patches. The other is a 280R.

Two of the 3 slices are performing normally, the other is very slow and
iostat reports high asvc_t times (in the hundreds) when there is heavy
I/O.

I have mounted this slow filesystem on one of the other servers and it
performs badly there too.

Mounting this filesystem takes at least a minute on any of the 3
servers.

The problem seems to be more apparent in writing. I have shutdown all
oracle stuff to eliminate that.

Writing a 1GB test file to the slow filesystem is consistently at
approx. 25 GB /sec. The other filesystems all perform at 90-100
MB/second.

Anyone have any feedback ?

Thanks,

Brian.
