Sun V440 wont boot off cdrom

Hello All,

I have a SUN V440 running Solaris 9 that will not boot off of the CDRom. I
just built the new server for the first time last week (using 'boot cdrom'
for
the install) and it worked just fine. I ended up making an invalid entry in
/etc/vfstab so I decided to boot from cdrom to single user mode so that I
can
mount the disk and fix my changes. When using 'boot cdrom -s' the system
hits
the cdrom and loads the banner from the cd but then hangs. I took the cd to
another V480 server and I was able to get it to boot to single user mode
from
the cd, which rules out the issue of the cd being bad. I then took the disk
to the V440 and attempted to boot with 'boot cdrom' just like if I was doing
a
normal install (like I had just last week) and it did the same thing. It
hit
the cd and loaded the banner but the little spinning forward slash thing
quit
spinning. It looked like it just froze. I then attempted to use 'stop+a'
to
halt the system and it wouldn't respond. I don't know what I should do
short
of calling SUN and waiting on hold for like 3 hours so if you know anything
I
can do to get this working it would be a great help! Thanks in Advance!

Thanks,
Jason Polachak
