Hi all,
I have 6 Sun machines at work:
2 Blade 100
2 Netra T1
1 Sun Fire v100
1 E4500
Suddenly since yesterday, 5 machines of them refuse to connect via
serial console, I need to upgrade the E4500 to Solaris 9 and put it
into production, but I cannot connect via serial console, I tried
different cables, I tried them all with 5 machines and I just don't
get any response. Only one machine that I get response from, which
is one of the Blade 100 machines. Although I used to connect normally
before, even I just installed Solaris 8 on the E4500 one week ago.
I mean I just plug the cable to serial console, and try to access it
as usual from MiniCom in Linux or HT from Windows, I don't get any
response back, sometimes a garbage character or two appear. The
strange thing is that is happened to 5 machines, and even more it work
flawlessly to only one machine. Nothing changed to EPROM configs in any
of these machines.
I will send any additional info requested.
Any help, tips, documents are greatly appreciated.
