Hello Gurus,
When ever we have problems with the
application giving out network errors, the first
question which management asks "were there any network
problems". I go and see netstat output and there would
be no collisions. However I found that MRTG is a
comprehensive way to track these things.I read that,
once setup we can collect other statistics to MRTG
itseems. I am planning to collect iostat,vmstat
etc...However I really don't know how to start off.
Tried googling to find that Solisitice enterprise
agents have/are the SNMP for Solaris. But I did not
find any sites which gives how to setup. If any one
could point me to a link on how to setup SNMP on
solaris it would be helpful. Also if anyone had used
MRTG please give me your suggestions or any notes
you documented.
