Sun Java System Messaging Server (v6.1) + virus checking

Hi All
I am running the Sun Java System Messaging Server (JSMS) and am looking at
anti-virus checking. I am aware that BrightMail and PureMessage can be plugged
in to it. However, I am wondering if anyone is using a "free" solution. At the
moment we pay for and use Sophos (not free anyway) + sophie on our main mail
gateways (with sendmail). But it does not appear easy to use this solution on
our new internal mail server which is where we are using JSMS.

If it helps the JSMS version is as follows (imsimta version):
Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.1 HotFix 0.05 (built Oct 21 2004)
libimta.so 6.1 HotFix 0.05 (built 14:50:54, Oct 21 2004)
SunOS cadmus 5.9 Generic_117171-02 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V240

I understand that there is a virtually undocumented keyword "aliasdetourhost"
(ref Sun Doc ID: 77689), however, it's not clear to me how this would be used.

Please note that I'm not the usual JSMS admin (he's gone on holidays for a
month) and I'm doing some work to determine whether we need to fork out the
extra $$ per year for PureMessage in addition our Sophos.

Thanks in advance for any comments, advice, or pointers.
