        Hi Gurus,

Very few answer to this !

        The original subject was :

Only two emails. Thanks to Yves Dorfsman (http://www.sollers.ca) and
Atul Gore.

Atul suggests to use smitty. I tried, for the fun...I've found some
menus, particularly the "autofs" file system type in "Mount FS". If
you read this and want to use autofs on Aix 4.3.3 , forget about smit !

Yves began by frightening me; he explained me that I absolutely need
to apply the last set of patchs because Aix 4.3 and automount were not
known as best friends. (to check installed patchs : instfix -i |grep
ML)
Fortunately, patch levels installed on my customers boxes seems
correct (4330-09_AIX_ML, not too old).

        Ok.

        Now how to.

        1) Forget the fact you are on a Aix...think as if you are on Solaris

        2) Create /etc/auto_master file ans subsequent maps

        3) Come back on Aix ;-)

        4) Check /etc/rc.nfs and locate something like :
## Begin AutoFS startup ## Do NOT remove
##
if [ -s /etc/auto_master ]; then
         /usr/sbin/automount
fi
##
## End AutoFS startup ## Do NOT remove

If you find something different, change to have these lines (or add
them).

        5) Execute /etc/rc.nfs

        That's all folks.

        Nicolas
