SDLT without compression.

Hi managers.

I'm stuck. I'm using Sun branded external SDLT-220 streamer and have
recently deployed Amanda to do backups. However, Amanda likes it best
when is given device without hardware compression. No matter how I
tried it, all /dev/rmt/ devices (esp. 'l' and 'm') seem to be detected
as compressing ones. I asked Quantum, the actual manufacturer, but they
have sent me back to Sun. On Sun webpages I've found something about
tweaking /kernel/drv/st.conf but it seems not to work (maybe I did
something wrong, below is snippet with my modifications). Generally I
could live with compressing device but on the other hand I think it's
strange I couldn't disable the feature. Any hints?

<file /kernel/drv/st.conf>
tape-config-list="Quantum Super DLT 220", "Quantum Super DLT 220", "SDLT";
SDLT = 1,0x38,0,0x8639,4,0x90,0x91,0x90,0x91,3;

name="st" class="scsi" target=5 lun=0 tape-config-list =
        "Quantum Super DLT 220", "Quantum Super DLT 220", "SDLT-220"
        SDLT-220 = 1,0x38,0,0x8639,4,0x90,0x91,0x90,0x91,3;
name="st" class="scsi" target=6 lun=0;
</file>

Thanks in advance and best regards.
