partition workstation running Solaris 8

Guys,

How would you recommand to partition Sun workstations running Solaris 8.
These workstation do not run NFS and has no NIS installed.
Internal drive are about 80GB.
Application are installed in /usr/local/ and /opt/

I heard it is not that important to seperate /var, /usr and / on solaris 8.
Is it true? How would you do it?
