To all

I am trying to test some new script I found for patching solaris server.
It is called patchcompare and patchupdate from www.bolthole.com, no docs
with script. Just wondering if anyone has tried out the scripts. If I
try to run the script I am getting this output

rex /tmp 517 # ./patchcompare -v
1?????-?? not found

I know on sunsolve there is Patch Manager. The problem I found the using
that is if I need a kernel patch it will not download and patch the
kernel patch with out being in single use mode. A lot of our server can
not be down that long to install all of the patches that need to be in
single use mode.

Is anyone using an automated way of patching server that would include
kernel patches when not is single use mode?

thanks
