log NFS requests

Hi

I have an application that is making an extremely large number of file
reads to an NFS server. I would like to log (probably only for a brief
period of time) which files/directories it is accessing. Is there a
method, using truss perhaps, to do this? This is to optimise which files
get moved off the NFS server. OS is Solaris 8.

I am aware of cacheFS and it is not suitable in this context.
