I asked:

>Sun's online docs describe, and I have used in the past, an interactive DHCP
>setup using the 'dhcpconfig' tool, started w/o command-line arguments.
>
>This interactive mode prompted you for all the necessary setup info for DHCP.
>
>With Solaris 9, 7/02 (if not earlier releases), the interactive mode of this
>tool is gone. Anyone know how to get it back?

It appears the interactive features have been migrated into the graphical DHCP
setup tool, 'dhcpmgr'. It has, for example, a "hosts wizard."

While I neglected to mention this tool in my posting, I knew about it, but hoped
not to have to use it.

David also recommended the open-source DHCP from ISC as a replacement.
