First thanks for all the helpfule people on this list that pointed out that
I had installed the openssl package that does not contain the shared
libraries. I've now fixed that, and now I've hit the next snag.
ssh works fine, but when I try to starts sshd I get:
Could not load host key: /usr/local/etc/ssh_host_key
Could not load host key: /usr/local/etc/ssh_host_rsa_key
Could not load host key: /usr/local/etc/ssh_host_dsa_key
Disabling protocol version 1. Could not load host key
Disabling protocol version 2. Could not load host key
sshd: no hostkeys available -- exiting.
But:
W0021# ls -l /usr/local/etc/
total 440
-rw-r--r-- 1 bin bin 87351 Feb 17 15:09 Muttrc
-rw-r--r-- 1 bin bin 1898 Feb 17 15:09 mime.types
-rw-r--r-- 1 bin bin 111892 May 14 04:55 moduli
drwxr-xr-x 2 root other 512 Jul 22 08:25 prngd
-rw-r--r-- 1 root bin 1159 May 14 04:55 ssh_config
-rw------- 1 root other 668 Jul 22 08:48 ssh_dsa_key
-rw-r--r-- 1 root other 601 Jul 22 08:48 ssh_dsa_key.pub
-rw------- 1 root other 526 Jul 22 08:47 ssh_host_key
-rw-r--r-- 1 root other 330 Jul 22 08:47 ssh_host_key.pub
-rw------- 1 root other 887 Jul 22 08:49 ssh_rsa_key
-rw-r--r-- 1 root other 221 Jul 22 08:49 ssh_rsa_key.pub
-rw-r--r-- 1 root bin 2561 May 14 04:55 sshd_config
I generated these with ssh-keygen. I've cheked prngd with egc, and it's
working.
I have addedd the privelege seperation user "sshd".
What else am I doing wrong?
And thanks for the help, again.
