We are mounting some volumes from a RedHat AS3 server to a Solaris8 nfs
client with the 'soft' option.
When the nfs server went down for maintenance, the Solaris8 client
effectively hung. There were no processes attempting to access the nfs
mounted volume (it was empty).
Sun's position is this is 'by design', which seems like a load of crap.
Any ideas ?
