Greetings all,
We have one E3500 Sun Server.There are eight HDD and
have two meta device./dev/md/dsk/d0 and
/dev/md/dsk/d1.
All the home directory is in /dev/md/dsk/d1.Suddenly
users got the error I/O error while giving the
commands.
When i tried to remount the device it's give the error
mount: /dev/md/dsk/d1 no such device
And i did a reboot and got the message,
Can't open /dev/md/rdsk/d0
/dev/md/rdsk/d0: CAN'T CHECK FILE SYSTEM.
/dev/md/rdsk/d0: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck
MANUALLY.
/dev/md/rdsk/d1: No such device or address
Can't open /dev/md/rdsk/d1
/dev/md/rdsk/d1: CAN'T CHECK FILE SYSTEM.
/dev/md/rdsk/d1: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck
MANUALLY.
WARNING - Unable to repair one or more filesystems.
Run fsck manually (fsck filesystem...).
Exit the shell when done to continue the boot process.
When i run fsck from the shell,
Can't open /dev/md/rdsk/d0
Can't open /dev/md/rdsk/d1
I go for normal booting system is up and not able to
access the meta device.
I am giving the ouput of format and metadb which may
help all to identify the problem

I suppose the problem with HDD in slot 6.
If i remove the HDD from slot 6,should i able to
access the meta device.And one more if attach this HDD
into another system,should i able to retrive the data
from the individual HDD which are in meta device.
Please guide me
