Thank you for the many responses and suggestions. Apparently this is a
prevailing problem even in Solaris 9 as pointed out by many. All other
addressed CDE issues by Sun seem to apply only to <= Solaris 8.

I do not have a solution to this yet but, I seem to be able to log out if I
log into a remote host by choosing the remote host from list rather than
typing the name directly. I've tried this several times at least. Not sure
what this points to though.
