Dear all sun managers,
When a user logs out of a Solaris 2.8 U10 the process Xsun starts running at
100%. The screen goes white and no one can login on that monitor. Remote
logins are fine. This does not happen all the time. It seems to be
intermittent. It is not limited to one particular machine or account.
I noticed that /bin/ps shows that the process Xsun is owned by the previous
user ssa, whereas top says that the Xsun process is owned by root.
What I would like to know is why Xsun hangs after a log out and starts
running at 100% on the CPU? Anyone had this afore?
PID USERNAME THR PRI NICE SIZE RES STATE TIME CPU COMMAND
12398 root 1 40 0 27M 19M run 104:35 98.03% Xsun
ssa 12398 281 99 May 06 ? 105:35 /usr/openwin/bin/Xsun
:0 -nobanner -auth /var/dt/A:0-xyaiJa
Many thanks for any help.
Regards,
Simon.
