Gig-E and SBUS E4500

Group,

Recently we've began implementing a gigabyte network for our
ClearCase environment. We are seeing something very odd and I'm wondering
if anyone out there has experienced this or at least has worked with Gig-E
on E4500's and E6500's. We also have 280's connected to this switch. The
280's are connected via copper on pci cards. For reasons unknown to me,
the cards connected to the fiber just lose connection for no reason and then
we cannot bring them back up. Usually we have to disable and reenable the
ports. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm leaning towards believing
this is related to bad gbic's as I've just put in a brand new fiber blade
and the problems persist.

Thoughts?
