Hi everyone,

(I've been posting a lot recently!)

We have a Sun StorEdge L1000, with two DLT units installed. This is
connected to a Netra.

I have loaded DLTs into the jukebox and one into the single DLT port as
well.

I want to use ufsdump to access the device.

To check that all is well I tried using mt to test the device:

mt stat
/dev/rmt/0n: no tape loaded or drive offline
mt -f /dev/rmt/1 stat
/dev/rmt/1: no tape loaded or drive offline

Does anyone know how I could check that all is well?

More system specific info here:
$ uname -a
SunOS haven 5.9 Generic_112233-08 sun4u sparc SUNW,UltraSPARC-IIi-cEngine
$ showrev

Many thanks,
Simon.
