My system is patched to the latest patch for the SUNOS 5.8. On the
www.sunsolve.sun.com <http://www.sunsolve.sun.com/> page I noticed that there
is a security alert on "Security Sun Alert Collection" on passwd. There is
something which I do not quite understand, thus:
This issue can occur in the following releases:
SPARC Platform
* Solaris 8 with patch 108993-14

108993-31 <http://sunsolve.sun.com/pub-cgi/findPatch.pl?patchId=108993&rev=31>
and without patch 108993-32
<http://sunsolve.sun.com/pub-cgi/findPatch.pl?patchId=108993&rev=32>
I checked on my system to see whether I have 108993-14 through 108993-31
patches. I noticed that I have patch 108993-26 only and I do not have patch
108993-32. The question is that am I vunarable to the above security
vunarability?
