Jumpstart interfaces

Hello all,

I'm having some difficulty having machines flashed using jumpstart come up
with the correct interfaces. The gear in question is a Netra 20 with an
Antares dual gig ethernet card. This gives me eri0, age0, and age1
interfaces. However, I only want to use the age0 interface (for the time
being - age1 will follow).

Now, because the original flash archive was created on a machine without the
Antares card, I am succesfully adding the driver packages during my install
post script. At this point, it was my belief that I should just have to add
a (/a rooted - since I'm booted off a CD) /etc/hostname.age0 entry, and move
/etc/hostname.eri0 out of the way and when the machine comes back up, it
will merrily look through the hostname.* entries and proceed to configure
just age0.

However, this is not the case. When the machine boots again, it first tries
unsuccesfully to plumb age0. It then further tries unsuccessfully to
configure eri0, age0, and age1. If I reboot the machine a second time, it
comes up as I expected it to the first time, where age0 is the sole,
successfully configured interface.

So my question is: How do I get it to come up correctly the first time?

Thanks in advance, will summarize.

regards,
Chuck
