Writing to a vxvm volume = PANIC!

Dear fellow forumers,

We are experiencing a weird situation here.

We configured VXVM on a Solaris 8 box. OK.

The volumes were created OK.

Previously we created filesystems on the CTDs. OK

The system are all patched.

The JNIC driver is the latest (well, I was told so).

BUT.... when we tried to create a file system on the volume...... whoops!
Panic.

More patches. Checked again.

Tried to shove some bytes to the device by dd if=/dev/zero
of=/dev/vx/rdsk/somedg/somevol bs=1024k count=10000.....

Panic again.

Anyone experienced this? Is there any patches we could apply? We are running
out of alternatives.

Thanks in advance to you all,

Filipe Litaiff.
