Solaris 9 -> Solaris 8 Display Issues

Hello all,

We have some applications not working correctly due to some display issues. We have a GUI-based application running on a Solaris 9 machine. We connect to the Solaris 9 machine through a Solaris 8 SunRay server. Of course, when we connect through a Solaris 9 machine, the displays are fine and run just like they should. And if we connect via a non-Sun machine, the displays work. However, when we pass back the display parameters through our Solaris 8 machine, the display is funky and doesn't work quite right. Some of the buttons are outside the bounds of the painted windows and some of the fields
are off a bit. Since some of the buttons aren't where the app thinks they should be, the app doesn't work the way it should (buttons don't work).

Upgrading the SunRay machine to Solaris 9 is a sure fix, but you all know that the best fix is always the one that will take the longest to get implemented, especially when it's upgrading the O/S for a ton of customers.

Any advice is appreciated!
