More off-topic (about sales people and spammers trolling the list)

Mike -

I've had similar things happen for other questions as well,
not just when I've said that I want to buy something. This
list is definitely being trolled by sales people as well as
by spammers (I got no spam on one of my email addresses until
it was posted to this list).

An unfortunate part of participating on a list that is publically
searchable. Not sure how much or what the listowners can do about
it at this point.
