Hi,
My NIS master is brscs14 running Solaris 8 Generic_108528-26 and is
pushing all my standard map OK
I have just added the project map entry to the Makefile and it just sits
there at :-
root: make
updated project
If I run :-
root: /usr/lib/netsvc/yp/yppush -v -h brscs12 -d brs.infineon.com
project.byname
I get :-
Verifying YP server: brscs12
brscs12 has been called.
timeout in main loop select.
No response yet from ypxfr on brscs12
If I go to the slave server and run
root: ypinit -s brscs14
Installing the YP database will require that you answer a few questions.
Questions will all be asked at the beginning of the procedure.
Do you want this procedure to quit on non-fatal errors? [y/n: n]
OK, please remember to go back and redo manually whatever fails. If you
don't, some part of the system (perhaps the yp itself) won't work.
The yp domain directory is /var/yp/brs.infineon.com
Can we destroy the existing /var/yp/brs.infineon.com and its contents?
[y/n: n] y
There will be no further questions. The remainder of the procedure
should take
a few minutes, to copy the data bases from brscs14.
