Hi,
I am having a problem when I set up 2 d1000s on my 4500. I plugged in
a differential scsi module on each of my I/O boards and connected to
each D1000 box.
So it looks like this.
Board 1 goes to the first d1000 which makes up c8t0-c8t5 and
c8t8-c8t13.
Board 3 goes to the second d1000 which makes up c9t0-c9t5 and
c9t8-c9t13.
I noticed that after reboot the first I/O board lights are on,off,off.
The second is on,off,blinking, indicating that the board is ok.
I did a format and all of the disks show up. I set up all of my
metadevices with no problem.
d18: c8t0-c8t4
d28: c9t0-c9t4
d19: c8t8-c8t12
d29: c9t8-c9t12
When I tried to mirror d18 and d28 to make up the mirror of d38 it
failed.
When I set up d19 and d29 to make up d39 it worked.
I was able to make a one way mirror with d28 to make d38.
I can not work with d18 at all. I try to use metaclear and it says
that it is in use. I do not have it in vfstab and I am not using it. I
Think there is a link between this problem and the lights on the I/O
board.
d18 doen't show up when I do a metastat but does show up when I do a
metastat d18.
