I have encountered a major problem with SunPCi 3.2, and was wondering
whether anyone has experienced similar issues.
We deploy SunPCi the follwing way:
- an initial W2k image is created, and W2k installed on it
- shared networking is configured as described in the user's guide
- all required patches and applications are added
- on the final image, we run sysprep; sysprep is a tool provided
by MS to strip host and network specific information from a
host (a bit like /usr/sbin/sys-unconfig)
- the sysprep'd image can now be copied to other machines, vastly
reducing the overall setup time
The problem we see now is related to sysprep. When a sysprep'd image
is booted, it prompts for host and network related information to be
entered, and then W2k reboots to finalise the setup. However, after
this final reboot, and only then, the display is completely garbled.
Has anyone seen this before?
