Hi folks,
we are buying a V440 and will be attaching it to
an SE6960 for storage.
We want to have two FC-HBA's for redundant paths to
the storage.
Our Sun reseller has offered us the following options:
*******************
2Gb PCI Dual Port Fibre Channel Host Bus
Fully Redundant Paths to Switches, Multipaths to Disk
OR
2Gb PCI Single Port Fibre Channel Host Bus
Single Path to Each Switch - Redundancy but NO Multipath
*******************
Could someone explain why there is no multpathing to the
disks with the 2 Single Port HBA's ?
What would multipathing give us ?
