Hi all,
I wonder could anyone throw some light on the following :
A few days ago a server was rebooted and it was noticed that in the messages file were a series of rpc not started messages.
I did have a look through the archives and found a similiar posting where the solution was to start up the inet daemon in trace mode by editing the file /etc/init.d/inetsvc and adding -t to the start up of the inetd daemon, i.e. changing the line to :
/usr/sbin/inetd -t -s &
Did this and restarted the services and I still got the same messages.
Can anyone come up with an alternate reason as to why this message is occuring. If you need more info, please let me know.
Below are the relevant lines in the messages file.
