All advices piont to the same tool: lsof.
The tool isavailable from sunfreeware.

Hi,
I have the following problem:
On a SUN E10K Domain with Solaris 7 are running several applications
(Mercator).
This applications communicate over IP with other computers.
Sometimes one of this application dies or must be killed and the process
dose not release
the used IP-port.
Does anyone knows how I can get information about by process used IP ports?
And how I can reset a user IP port if the process is killed but the port
still not free/released by the process.
