I've got a somewhat urgent problem that I'm hoping someone can help me
with. One of our faculty has a SunBlade 100 that has been having some
very odd netowrk problems. We've done a lot of debugging and pretty
much have it narrowed down to the NIC. The problem is that the NIC is
built onto the system board, and the machine is a few months out of
warranty.
We have a pile of old Intel and 3com PCI NICs laying around from old
PCs, but I have been unable to find drivers anywhere. There are very
few ethernet NICs on the official HCL, and I really don't have time to
order one.
I've scoured the 'net and have come up short. Does anyone know of any
drivers for 3com or Intel PCI cards that I can run under Sol8 on a
SunBlade 100? Or, perhaps a driver for a NIC that I could pick up at
Best Buy/Compusa/officemax/etc? Normally, I'd have the Prof. buy a
'blessed' card, but he's on a deadline and needs the machine last
week.
Thanks for any info, I will summarize.
