DiskSuite concatenation problem

Dear All,

I seem to be in serious trouble with disksuite. I had to reinstall Solaris on an
Ultra 2 system, which is running disksuite 4.2. Before reinstallation, I backed
up all the Disksuite relevant configuration files, output of metastat commands
etc. With the intention of after OS install I would re-install the disksuite
packages, and reload the md.cf. However I have lost this backup !!!

Basically the SDS configuration was one big concatenated metadevice (containing
6 disks). Luckily SDS has nothing to do with the root disk etc.

I have no idea where the state databases were located. I am unable to mount the
raw device of these disks, probably because they are part of a concatenation

mount /dev/dsk/c0t9d0s2 /mnt
mount: /dev/dsk/c0t9d0s2 is not this fstype.

I then thought that I would simply set up a state database and the concatenation
again. However, the manual seems to warn that this could cause dataloss. It
explains how to expand a concatenation with existing data, but seems to suggest
the this would wipe the second disk.

If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.

Thank you in advance,

Best Regards.

Olive
