Hello,

i have a SPARC-Server with Solaris 8 and the follow
problem:

I know the /etc/group is limited to 1024 characters per line.
So i make multiple groups with same names und GID.

Example:

group1::4711,user1,user2,user3,user4...
group1::4711,user6,user7,user8,user9...

The File-Permissions are now OK.

But when i get the Group-Membership from the
"Basic Library Function" -> "getgrname", i get ONLY
the User from the first Line: "group1::4711,user1,user2,user3,user4..." !

Also, the Usercommand "newgrp" didnt work for user behind
the first line. Some Software checks this Groupmembership
during the Runtime and stop with errors.

What can i do to solve this problem ?

Thanks

Thomas
