Dear Sun managers
I need to move a file larger then 2 gigabytes to a different filesytem taht
it is in. Afterwards I want to compress this largefile. Though "man
largefile" state that mv is capable of handling a largefile when I have
applied the command it copied it well to the other filesystem but did not
delete it well from the other filesystem.
        1) Is there away apart from an fsck how can I recover the lost chains in the
filesystem
        2) What should I do such that I can move and compress a file without
creating inconsistencies in the filesystem?

The operating system is Solaris 8 applied with the latest cluster patch from
SUN

Regards
Daniel
