Query - Nice "explorer like" GUI FileManager for Sol.8 Sparc, NOT requiring GTK/Gnome ?

Hi all,

I've got a "simple but possibly a heinous and blasphemous question" :-)
, but one that I cannot imagine has no reasonable answer. Alas, digging
through the list & google hasn't been a huge help.

We've got end-users here working on SunRay workstations (e450 running
solaris8). I would like to be able to provide people with a nicer "file
manager GUI" than the default file manager that is bundled with
Solaris8. Ideally, I prefer something "relatively resource
NON-intensive" since an e450 isn't exactly overloaded with spare CPU
cycles when feeding sunray sessions to a stack of users concurrently.
(AFAIK, this rules out most GTK/Gnome/KDE based file managers, alas).
Ideally, this "nicer GUI" would be kinda-sort more like the "windows
explorer" although it doesn't HAVE to be totally explorer-esque ; but
ideally should be functional, intuitive to use, and nice looking.

If anyone has recommendations for alternate file managers (3rd party,
not supported by sun is *just fine* with me :-) that might be
interesting, please zip a note along to me, ideally with a URL where I
can get source-that-builds-painlessly-on-solaris8_sparc or maybe even
pre-cooked binaries for sol_8/sparc.

As always, I'll summarize back to the list when done.

Thanks!

Tim Chipman
