automountd not responding

Gurus,
 
We're running script on our host (hello) and in the script it's logging in as oracle but the oracle directory (home directory) is in the other server (datawp). The script did not finish because oracle directory is not available. /var/adm/messages file on hello shows that on "automountd on server datawp is not responding.
 
I checked the automountd daemon on datawp but automountd daemon has been up for couple of months now. What could be the reasons why the host hello encountered the error.
