How to increase the User Name Character limit ?

Dear All,

Can anyone suggest me the way to increase the default limit of eight (8)
characters for user/login names in Solaris (OS version 8),
so that it can properly display full login names ( > 8 characters) in
system logs like "last", "radlast" etc.
