rsh from Windows NT to Solaris

Hi Managers,

We have a legacy Windows NT 4 application which no one wants to rewrite at
this time which submits jobs to Solaris computers with the standard rsh
command. This has worked for years with NT 4 under Windows NT 4 domains.
The company is moving next week to Windows 2003 Active Directory. I just
discovered that even though the client is still NT 4, the rsh command fails
with "3004-330 Your encrypted password is invalid". Our Windows guy tells
me that Windows 2003 AD uses kerberos authentication as the default
authentication mechanism and I should probably enable it on Solaris. As I
am not familiar with the issues with kerberous and I do not now if this will
solve the problem, can anyone recommend other solutions?

I was thinking of installing OpenSSH on Solaris and Windows NT 4 but I am
concerned that I would be back were I started.

Marcelino
