Hi,
I want to monitor the errors on the interfaces of some SUN Solaris servers.
I can display it with the command "netstat -i"
Example:
root@sunsb:/> netstat -i
Name Mtu Net/Dest Address Ipkts Ierrs Opkts Oerrs Collis
Queue
lo0 8232 loopback localhost 3972793 0 3972793 0 0
0
hme1 1500 sunsb sunsb 36762616 0 22972768 357733
3741689 0
But i could not find a way or command to reset this counters to zero.
Therefore I can only say how much errors are since the last reboot.
But for the monitoring I would like to reset the error counters one time a
day.
Then I know if the counter is greater zero: the errors occurred during the
last day.
Does anyone of you can help me?
