Hi,
I am trying to replace a failed disk within a RAID 5 array using
disksuite. So far I have:
- Removed old disk
- Inserted new disk
- Copied partition information from other disk.
- ran 'metareplace'
- deleted state dbs and recreated them.
Everything appears to work fine, the RAID array regenerated itself
perfectly. Only problem is when I run 'metadb' I find the state
databases for the new disk is not up to date.
a uo 1050 1034 /dev/dsk/c0t10d0s4
a u 16 1034
/dev/dsk/c0t11d0s4
As you can see c0t10d0s4 is up to date but c0t11d0s4 is not. Should I
have run metadb before metareplace? is there a way to make the state
databases up to date?
Is this the recommended way of doing it or is there another method for
hot swap?
Thanks,
Timothy.
