Hello All,
I have just reconfigured a Sun Storedge Array managed using Veritas
volume manager from using (2 disks mirrored, and then that mirrored
again onto another 2 disks), to Raid 5 across 3 disks, allowing us to
use the last disk for something else.
- Running Solaris 9 with Veritas Volume Manager 3.0.2 .....
- We are running oracle, and people are saying that things are slower.
- There is higher IO than normal, currently trying to establish if there
is more oracle work going on than normal (ORacle admin looking at this now)
The question is, shouldn't there be a performance increase, rather than
a decrease?
If there is a decrease, is there some way to tweak the performance....
