Hi all,
I have an oracle database running on solaris8 on a sunfire v240. I have a
storedge 3310 which i plan to configure raid 5 on (five 36 gb disks for this).
I have a database and a application that I would like to place into the raid.
What kind of configuration can give me the best performace. Should i create a
raid for each tablespace and one for my application or can one raid utilizing
the whole disk space be adiquate. Bear in mind that i dont have an idea of
how big the database will grow to or how large my application logs wil grow.
Any advice here would be hightly appreciated.
