patch managing tool

Hi,
 
I'm suppose to check the patch level on all our servers.
The idea is to check and warn is the security patches are not applied.
 
I looked at the patch pro software from sun, but it check only the patches
on a local machine.
 
does anybody know a tool or a set of scripts that can check some machines
for specific patches ??
