SNMP Configuration Issue

Hi gurus,

just a (maybe simple) question. The short version:
Is it possible to bind the snmpd to a logical IP-Address, causing the daemon
to use this address as the originator address for traps, and NOT the
node-ip?

The log version:

We have two servers, running as a SUN cluster. Each of them has an
additional interface, connected to an O&M network for administrative
purposes.
Administrative and cluster LAN are completely different, different switches,
network cabling, etc.
Of course, the two nodes have node-addresses in the cluster network LAN.
Now, when one of the nodes sends a trap, what is the originator address of
the trap? Normally, I think the node address? Is it possible to change this,
i. e. to configure the snmpd to use the administrative address of the node
as originator?

Will summarize.

Many thanks in advance,

Harald
