I am trying to unlock a NIS+ user account which has been locked - I have
tried doing this by using :
nispasswd [username]
passwd -r nisplus [username]
logged on as root on the NIS+ master server , but in both cases , after I enter the
login(NIS+) password and the suggested new password for the account , I get
the message :
Permission denied
and in /var/adm/messages I get :
[hostname] passwd[1213]: [ID 897924 user.error] Couldn't make a
client handle to NIS+ password daemon
[hostname] passwd[1213]: [ID 218583 user.error] passwd (NIS+):
failover: user credential is required.
Does anyone know if it is possible to unlock an account , if so , how ?
Thanks in advance , I will summarise
Dominic Clarke
